The latest in the long line of world-class rugby talent from the Tuilagi family, 19-year-old Perpignan secondrow Posolo has been called up to the French Six Nations squad by head coach Fabien Galthie.
At 149kg, Posolo is built in a similar mould to his father, Henry, who was an icon for both Perpignan and Samoa in his playing days.
Further emulating his father, the U20 World Rugby Championship winner is a destructive ball carrier and dominant tackler who looks set to fill the void left by the injury to Toulouse lock Emmanuel Meafou for the French.
Joining Tuilagi in the senior squad are two of his U20 teammates in Pau fullback Théo Attissogbe and Montpellier back row Lenni Nouchi. Elsewhere, Stade Francais utility back Leo Barre is rumoured to be close to a call-up to the squad.
Les Bleus will open their 2024 Guinness Six Nations campaign on February 2nd against reigning champions Ireland in Marseille.
