The 2024 Investec Player of the Year nominees list has been revealed, with eight of the finest European players all in contention for the top individual award.
Leinster boasts half of all nominees thanks to their incredible form leading up to the quarter-final stages of the Champions Cup. Their talismanic scrum-half, Jamison Gibson-Park has been indispensable for the men in blue, scoring multiple tries and dictating a speed of play that few teams can keep up with. He is joined by the always remarkable Antoine Dupont as the only Toulouse contingent in the lineup.
Dominant Leinster trio of Caelan Doris, James Lowe, and Dan Sheenan also deservedly take their places alongside the Northampton duo of Courtney Lawes and young talent Fin Smith – who has truly come into his own over the past year. Rounding off the nominations is Harlequins maestro Marcus Smith, who has been simply unplayable during the competition.
