Bath Rugby played host to the Barbarians yesterday in what turned out to be one heck of an entertaining.
Going back and forth for the full eighty minutes it took till the 81st minute for the match to be decided as All Black star Damian McKenzie coolly slotted a drop goal to give the Baabaas a 31 – 30 victory.
McKenzie was on fire from the off at the Rec as he created a bit of magic with just about every touch he had.
The drop goal itself was struck so sweetly that the end result was never in doubt.
Currently on the outside of the All-Blacks squad looking in, McKenzie reminded everyone just why he is considered to be on the of the most exciting players in the game when fit and in form.
Performances like this will surely have All Black selectors thinking about fitting him into their World Cup plans next season.
