Wallabies scrumhalf has copped a fair whack of criticism this week for his apparent dive in his sides victory over the Springboks in round three of The Rugby Championship.
White appeared to overexaggerate a hit to the face that he received from Bok scrumhalf Faf De Klerk.
De Klerk then hit White on the ground which saw him receive a yellow card from referee Paul Williams.
White’s reaction has drawn criticism from all areas of the rugby world with twitter, reddit and Instagram in particular abuzz with criticism.
It would now appear that White is getting abuse in person as this funny exchange with what appears to be a group of South Africans applauding and heckling the scrumhalf at the airport.
In a rather funny and on the face of it good natured interaction the fans were heard saying.
“Hey Nic, you’re alive? You’re alive!” the first fan shouted.
“A most horrific injury, mate,” a second fan then said.
“We didn’t think you were going to make it. We thought you were in the ICU my brother,” the third proclaimed.

It is not just from the general public that White has received grief with many former players blasting his actions including his former teammate Will Genia who said.
“A referee like Nigel Owens probably says, ‘OK, I’m giving Australia a penalty because there’s contact with the face. Whitey, I don’t want to see that again. Faf I understand what you’re trying to do, but you have to understand it’s a penalty.’
Others were not quite so lenient with former Bok captain John Smit tweeting “(White) just killed a little piece of rugby’s soul today.”
