Dan Carter is raising money for charity with this amazing challenge.
Dan Carter will be completing a 24 hour kickathon, raising money for children in the Pacific. Dan Carter has partnered with UNICEF to provide essential clean water and sanitation for children in the Pacific.
The challenge will take place from 7-8 April 2022 and will be livestreamed on YouTube. He plans to kick 1,598 goal kicks, one for every international point he has scored, starting at 7 p.m. tomorrow night (NZ time). On his website and Sky Sports, the ‘Kickathon’ will be livestreamed from Eden Park.
Beauden Barrett, Richie McCaw, and other All Blacks will be there to cheer him on, and Johnny Sexton, Marcus Smith, Finn Russell, and Romain Ntamack will be video calling in to assist him throughout the night.
Dan Carter earned 112 caps for the All Blacks over his 12 year international career from 2003 until 2015 and has scored 1,598 points for the All Blacks. He has three Super Rugby titles with the Crusaders and nine Tri-Nations and Rugby Championships with the All Blacks. He was voted the World of the Year in 2005, 2012, and 2015.
