Argentina captain Pablo Matera has become even more popular in the eyes of rugby fans after giving his shirt to a young fan following Saturday’s Tri Nations clash with the Wallabies.
The 27-year-old flanker was filmed engaging with fans after Los Pumas earned a draw with Australia at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle when he approached a young Argentine supporter.
Matera embraced the kid, who was reduced to tears in awe of Argentina’s captain, and then decided to give the youngster his match shirt. The footage was uploaded to Twitter before All Blacks legend Dan Carter took the clip viral.
