All Blacks star assists try with luckiest kick of the year

All Blacks fly half Richie Mo’unga got a stroke of luck when he made a cross-field kick to set up a try for the Crusaders on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was was aiming for winger George Bridge but miss-kicked the ball as he was chased down by a Stormers defender.

The ball went half the intended distance but straight into the arms of full back David Havili who ran over the try line unopposed to score the Crusaders’ second try of the game.

The Stormers weren’t phased by the nature of the try and responded to pull off a huge 19-19 draw against the reigning champions in Cape Town.
