All Blacks and Crusaders winger Sevu Reece and Waratahs fullback Max Jorgensen are having an all-time personal battle in today’s highly entertaining Super Rugby clash between their teams.
Currently leading 37 – 33 in a match that has had 11 lead changes so far, the Waratahs are playing arguably their best rugby of the season.
On the other side, the Crusaders look to be getting back to their attacking best with some superb general play.
Front and centre for both sides are Reece and Jorgensen, who have each had some spectacular moments thus far.
Reece has quite simply been the heartbeat of the Crusaders, popping all over the pitch and seemingly multiple times during every important attack.
Jorgensen has operated as a brilliant link player and second receiver whilst also offering himself as a potent finishing option.
Coming together on a number of occasions, both players have had their moment of getting one over the other, but one moment in particular stands out.
Trailing early in the match, the Crusaders launched a promising attack that was built on some lightning-quick ruck speed.
Getting their hosts on the back foot, the Crusaders got the ball out wide to Reece, who had a one-on-one with Jorgensen on the right-hand touchline.
Highlighting his otherworldly power, Reece put Jorgensen away with a major shoulder drive.
In one of those rugby moments where a promising up-and-comer collides with an experienced operator, there is no doubt Jorgenson will learn your technique needs to be on point when taking on powerhouse wingers!
