Premiership rugby is back in full swing, with plenty of week one highlights to look back on, from Danny Cipriani’s sublime pass to key tackles from Dan Biggar and Steven Luatua. Here’s a quick montage video to help get you to the weekend.
Bristol Bears got things started in the right direction, as both Luatua and Luke Morahan put in first class performances to help beat Bath 17-10.
After his absence in the first match, Bristol will be boosted with further good news that superstar Charles Piutau will not require surgery and should be available later in October.
Danny Cipriani helped quiet some of the off-field chatter with his performance for Gloucester. His pass to set up the Charlie Sharples try against Northampton Saints was the stuff of legend. Gloucester got the 27-16 win.
Lastly, we learned that the new, “slimmer” Will Skelton is still a formidable, rampaging force. He and Saracens took care of Newcastle in their opener, 32-21.
These are but a few key moments of what Gallagher Premiership Rugby week one had to offer.
