As the machine that is the Top 14 rolled through round seven of their 2022 season there was a number of crucial fixtures underway.
One such fixture that saw two sides with the same record square off was Castres vs Bayonne.
In what was for the most part a competitive clash between two midtable sides, Castres emerged with a valuable 39 – 22 victory.
Whilst the score line would suggest a dominant win, the fixture was actually closely tied until about 55-minutes in with Castres a mere seven points up.
Following a rather innocuous long clearing kick from Bayonne, Castres’ Argentinean international flyhalf-cum-centre Benjamín Urdapilleta landed one of the drop goals of the season.
Just inside his half and off to the left, Urdapilleta did his best Frans Steyn impression as he lined up his target before bringing out his cannon of a boot to take Castres more than score ahead.

I love a drop goal from a goal line dropout 👌🏼
