It was a historical weekend in the Premiership as a world record crowd attended Wembley for Saracens vs Harlequins, a game that now has the largest ever attendance in club rugby. Here’s a quick wrap-up of what took place in each match.
A crowd of 83,761 turned out at Wembley to watch Harlequins beat Saracens 24-19 and in doing so, extend their lead at the top of the Aviva Premiership table.
George Lowe was the star for Quins as he scored a try and put in an impressive defensive effort, with one incredible try saver in particular. Jordan Turner-Hall also scored, as did Danny Care.
Elsewhere, Elliot Daly kicked a massive penalty to snatch a last minute 26-24 win for Wasps over Gloucester. Former Kingsholm native Nicky Robinson had an off day with the boot so young Daly stepped up and duly slotted the winning kick, easing their relegation fears.
