Robert Baloucoune has arguably been unfortunate in terms of Ireland appearances since his international debut in 2021. The 26-year-old was touted by many to be the future of Irish rugby at one stage, but his talents have never quite extended beyond the regional level.
With just four caps for the men in green, Baloucoune has had to settle for thrilling fans of Ulster Rugby, His opportunties in an Irish shirt have been limited by injury, and has once again found himself on the outside looking in ahead of this year’s Six Nations.
He has been in fine form for Ulster recently, however, with the Irish side fully taking advantage of his speed to set up the eventual try.
