Samoa took on the world famous Barbarians in a World Cup warm-up match yesterday as they looked to embed their side against the fast flowing and exciting invitational side.
Samoa took an early lead thanks to the boot of former All Black Lima Sopoaga after just 3 minutes. From here, the Pacific Island team took control as they extended their lead as a Fritz Lee touched down for their first try. Another penalty kick from Sopoaga saw the Samoan’s head in to half time 11-0 up.
The match continued to be dominated by the hard hitting Samoans in the second half, with the Barbarians finding themselves 28-0 down after 59 minutes.
Fortunately for the Baa Baa’s, they managed to pick up a couple of late tries to save themselves from a total whitewash. The celebration behind their first try was what really captured the attention though, check this out:

The match finished 28-14, with Samoa looking strong as they head to France in just a few short weeks.
