Bath Rugby have made yet another signing ahead of the 2024/2025 season, as they bring in young backrow player Guy Pepper on a long term contract.
The 20-year-old former England U20s player is set to join from Newcastle Falcons, as he looks to link up with the likes of Jaco Coetzee, Josh Bayliss, Ted Hill and Miles Reid in an already stacked backrow.
Making his debut for the Falcons in the 2022/23 season, the 6ft 3in powerhouse scored three tries in his first seven appearances for the Falcons. His impressive displays in a Newcastle shirt lead to a quick call up to the international stage, representing England A in their triumph over Portugal in February.
Beyond the field, Pepper is dedicated to his academic pursuits, currently pursuing a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Durham. Even amidst his rugby commitments, he intends to continue his studies remotely on a part-time basis throughout his tenure at Bath.
Speaking about his new signing, Bath head coach Johan van Graan, said:
“Guy is one of the most talented and exciting back rowers in the English game. His hunger to improve and develop is evident and I believe he will be a big part of our team in the years to come.”
