Italian United Rugby Championship side Benetton Rugby have been quite possibly the most impressive team in the competition thus far this season.
With just a single loss away to the Glasgow Warriors in the URC, the Italians will end 2023 inside the top three on the table.
Playing a beautifully balanced brand of Rugby, Marco Bortolami’s side have scored some stunning tries thus far this season.
Possessing quality in both the pack and the backline, Benetton looks to have the depth to push for a deep playoff run this season in both the URC and EPCR Challenge Cup.
Facing Italian rivals Zebre Parma for the second week in a row today, Benetton looked in yet another bonus point win.
Securing the bonus point was a brilliantly well-taken forward score which was started by a chip and chase from hooker Gianmarco Lucchesi who had already scored a try earlier in the contest.
The hooker would be outpaced by his teammate Alessandro Izekor who handled the bouncing ball with masterful precision to dot down.
