Best tries from the Top 14 - Round 15

As the Top 14 continues to roll along into the new year, we take a quick look at the best tries from round 15 of the top French division.

Tries on display include those from Clermont, La Rochelle, Pau, Castres, and perhaps most notably for fans of the global game, a try for Ma’a Nonu and Toulon – with an assist from Bryan Habana.

With the Six Nations just around the corner, the French national side will be looking for a better result than what they have achieved in recent years. 

With so many foreigners in their domestic league, it remains to be seen what the recent FFR presidential election of Bernard Laporte will mean for the natonal side going forward.

One of his stated goals will be the reduction in the number of foreign-born players in the Top 14 and ProD2. Opinions will vary on whether this will bring the desired results or not, and only time will tell if this will be a winning strategy for Les Blues.
