Biarritz beat Colomiers 16-20 in the ProD2 on Thursday night after scoring one of the most dramatic tries of the season in the final phase of play.
Colomiers were winning 16-15 with the clock in red when Biarritz pulled off simply one of the most remarkable scores in recent years to win the match.
Biarritz started by executing a daring cross field kick and then worked their way down the touchline to within 10 metres of the Colomiers try line, but unfortunately lost possession after a series of frantic offloads.
The loose ball was then picked up by a Colomiers player, which in usual circumstances would all but guarantee their victory. However in the act of trying to kick the ball out the player was tackled, leaving the pill on the ground.
Luckily possession was again retained by a Colomiers player, but hilariously exactly same thing happened again allowing Biarritz centre Willie du Plessis to drop on the ball and win the game for the visitors.
