The man slowly but surely becoming a club legend, Joe Cokanasiga, has re-signed for Bath under the watchful eye of his agent, Twenty Sports Group.
The group, who also support the likes of Tommy Freeman and James Grayson, were believed to have been at the heart of contract negotiations between the club and player, causing slight delays in the announcement.
Bath fans will be relieved to have finally secured the extended services of the giant winger, who has become a vital cog in the resurgent west-country side as of late.
Having had the first half of his young career scuppered by untimely injuries and diminished confidence, the big man has finally had an extended period on the field to build upon his skills.
On renewing his contract with the club, Cokanasiga said: “I love playing for Bath. Seeing the journey we’ve been on this year compared to last is special. Bath has seen me grow both personally and professionally and I’m very excited for what the future holds for us as a group.”
The wing’s contract was due to expire this season, but Cokanasiga has now committed his long-term future to the club until the summer of 2027.
Speaking about Cokanasiga’s renewal, head coach Johann van Graan said: “Joe has been class since I arrived at the club. He brings power, he brings speed and he brings tries.
“He’s a brilliant human being and he fits into our club so well.”
