Blair Kinghorn should have been celebrating a well-deserved victory for Toulouse on Sunday after they beat Harlequins 38 – 26 in one of the fastest and most open games of rugby ever likely to be seen in the northern hemisphere. Instead, the giant fullback found himself on his back in shock as the ball was booted out for full-time.
Having been a vital part of the victory, Kinghorn’s teammates went to celebrate with their 6 ft 4 in colleague but instead realised that he had bigger issues to attend to. The Scottish international had snapped his nose during the final passage of play, leading to some pretty savage ribbing from teammates.
Chatting to the lads on the Maul or Nothing show this week, Kinghorn gave his own description of the incident whilst Ryan Wilson and Max Lahiff gave him grief.
Comments of “Guys, are you f****** kidding me? Look at my face” from Kinghorn were quickly followed up with quips such as “Oh my Harinordoquy” and “Oh my botched rhinoplasty” from Max Lahiff.

Despite attempts from the club medical staff to reset the busted nose, Kinghorn has since found himself being compared to the great Mike Tindall – famous for his ‘old school’ nose.
Toulouse will venture over the English Channel at the end of the month to face Leinster at Tottenham Hotspur’s Stadium in one of the most highly anticipated club matches of all time. The two most successful European club sides of all time will face off in a ‘winner takes all’ occasion that promises to ignite a fire within the souls of all rugby fans.
