The England squad has only recently been announced, but it appears that there are already changes being made in the setup with three players now being replaced through injury.
The players having to pull out of the Six Nations squad are Luke Cowan-Dickie, Oscar Beard and Ollie Lawrence. The latter of the three will be a huge loss for Steve Borthwick’s side, with Lawrence expected to be a firm starter in the central midfield.
Oscar Beard will be heavily disappointed with the timing of his injury after being called up to the national side for the first time. He will, however, travel to England’s training base in Girona where he will continue his return to play protocol.
Luke Cowan-Dickie has been away from the international scene for quite some time after missing out on the 2023 World Cup with a shoulder injury, so his recent setback will no doubt add to the frustrations of the 30-year-old.
The replacements that have been brought in are Bath’s Will Muir and Max Ojomoh, who have both been in incredible form this season, as well as super try scoring Falcon, Jamie Blamire.
