Few countries produce Rugby adverts on the level of South Africa, which given how intertwined the sport is with the country’s society is little surprise.
Winning three World Cups from seven attempts, the Springboks are the most successful team when it comes to the global tournament. Whilst they are tied with the All Blacks in terms of total titles, the fact that the Kiwis won the first of theirs when the Boks were banned from international sport leaves an asterisk next to that title in the eyes of many South Africans.
Once again amongst the favourites to win the title this year in France, the Boks will face their biggest challenge thus far when they face the world’s top-ranked side Ireland on Saturday.
Whilst the result of that fixture will play a key role in how the quarterfinal seedings are arranged. Off the field the two nations have seen the hype around their respective campaigns reverberate through the commercial world.
Another of these brilliant adverts has really captured the challenges facing rugby fans around the world as they look to soak up as much of the action as possible.
That is of course how one sneaks home late without their spouse catching them. Whether it was meant to be a quiet drink with friends that went to far or that one drink that turned into ten this ad captures the situation perfectly.
