Cardiff Blues got their Magners League campaign underway in style as they scored some fantastic tries on their way to a 34-23 victory over Edinburgh in Cardiff on the weekend.
Flyhalf Dan Parks made an impressive debut for the Blues as he failed to miss a kick, adding to his lead as the Magners Leagues leading scorer, kicking 14 points while his new team notched up the bonus point win.
Early tries to Bradley Davies and Tom James gave them a great start, with both coming from superb handling and offloading before, or during contact.
Xavier Rush had a large part to play in James try as he chipped, chased, regathered then flicked out the back door, showing he still has all the natural ability hes shown at some time or another during his lengthy career.
Rhys Thomas also scored for the Blues, while Tim Visser scored twice for Edinburgh. Casey Laulala scored the final try for the home side though, getting on the end of another great passage of play.
Parks converted each try and kicked two penalties, as well as controlled things nicely. He earned the Man-of-the-match award. Here is a clip showing the three great tries the Blues scored.
