Super Rugby table toppers, the Chiefs, have been on an absolute tear so far this season. Blitzing opponents from pillar to post, the Hamilton-based side is in the best form the club has seen since their back-to-back Super Rugby titles in 2012 & 2013.
Led by a handful of All Black stalwarts, most notably Damian McKenzie and Sam Cane, the Chief’s return to a wide attacking game has them perfectly placed to take out this season’s Super Rugby title.
Speaking on the highly popular ‘The Breakdown” show, All Blacks legend Jeff Wilson labelled a try they scored against the Highlanders as the ‘best team try in Super Rugby history’.
Starting the move deep in his own half, McKenzie broke through several Highlander’s tacklers.
From there, he offloaded with the ball going through multiple sets of hands before Prop George Dyer crashed over.
