It’s that time of year again. International squads are being released in their droves ahead of the upcoming Six Nations, with much skepticism behind each and every choice. The most recent announcement comes from Steve Borthwick as he releases his England squad for the upcoming Six Nations.

Borthwick has made some major decisions with this squad by not including Bath duo, Joe Cokanasiga or Alfie Barbeary. There is the much requested inclusion of Ben Spencer, however, as he joins World Cup scrum halves Danny Care and Alex Mitchell.
Much talked about Exeter winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso marks a key selection call after the speculation between his Welsh and English loyalties. Anthony Watson’s exclusion will come as a shock for many, with Borthwick choosing to look to the future with his young personnel.
Jamie George takes the captaincy in Owen Farrell’s absence, with Luke Cowan-Dickie returning to the fold for the first time in quite a while. Alex Dombrandt will be given another opportunity in an England shirt after missing out on the recent World Cup, with the noticeable absence of Billy Vunipola creating a rather sizeable hole in the squad.
