Louis Rees-Zammit has put an end to rumours of a return to rugby union by signing a new contract with NFL side, Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Welsh flyer was released by Kansas City Chiefs earlier this week after missing out on the 53-man squad for the 2024/25 NFL season.
Instead, Rees-Zammit has been selected to be a part of the Jaguars practice squad, allowing him to earn around £170,000 while he builds up his skills during the season.
Despite not being included in the Jaguar’s 53-man squad, the 23-year-old will have the opportunity to play a maximum of three games in the NFL – should any first-team players pull up with injury.
