French Top 14 side Bordeaux-Begles have had a mixed bag of results so far this season.
Losing semi-finalists last season, Bordeaux’s current position of tenth is a significant let down for Christophe Urios’ side.
Fortunately for Urios and his team the season is young and it has not all been negative as they have uncovered a real gem of a player.
Congolese born Madosh Tambwe has been tearing up the league since joining from South African URC side the Blue Bulls.
Initially appearing to be on his way to becoming a Springbok, Tambwe remained ineligible due to constant delays in gaining his South African citizenship.
As his international ambitions appeared to be out of his hands, his desire to test himself in the Top14 saw him buy himself out of his Blue Bulls contract to sign for Boredeaux.
Backing himself truly appears to now be paying off as he is quickly becoming a star in the games biggest league.
