Dominic Cummings has been at the centre of attention over the past week, and rugby league viewers have not been able to escape seeing his face on their TV screens.
With the NRL returning to action behind closed doors, the ‘fan in the stand’ initiative has been launched, which allows fans to pay $22 to have a cardboard cutout of themselves sitting in the stands.
Attentive viewers during the Sydney Roosters’ victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday would have seen Boris Johnson’s Chief Advisor in the stands at the Bankwest Stadium.

Plenty of focus has been on Cummings this week following his well-documented drive to Durham from London at the end of March during the COVID-19 lockdown.
For one supporter, $22 was a paltry cost to place Cummings in Parramatta for the evening.
