As the Top 14 takes a brief pause ahead of the start of the 6 Nations, Racing 92 consolidated their place at the top of table with a convincing 26-3 win over Oyonnax in Colombes.
The Parisiens easily secured the try bonus point which has arguably guaranteed their top spot until the league resumes on February 19. Among the try-scorers for the first time was All Black legend Dan Carter, who crossed for the third score of the match.
Carter has pulled the strings of a well-oiled Racing side that has surged not only to the top of the French league, but into the knock-out stages of the Champions Cup for the second year in succession.
His try against Oyonnax was one of pure class and one we definitely appreciated seeing.
As if a deft chip over the top for the on-rushing Johan Goosen wasn’t good enough, Carter’s perfect supporting line made the final pass a formality. He then showed good pace to streak in for the try.
