Danny Care is set to break the all-time Harlequins appearance record on Saturday as he steps out for his 352nd appearance.
Care will overtake former Harlequins and England teammate Mike Brown, after running level with him in the match against London Irish last month. Care has achieved this great feat over a period of 17 years at the Twickenham side, after joining from Leeds in 2006. During his time the scrum-half has so far won the Premiership title twice, and the European Challenge Cup once.
Harlequins head coach Tabai Matson told their website:
“Danny is one of the all-time great Harlequins and it’s a huge achievement for him to break the appearance record for the club,
“For me longevity is the true test of the greatest. Many amazing players come and go but the greats leave a stamp on multiple generations at a club and Danny has clearly done that.
“It’s a testament to his professionalism in how he prepares and recovers each week that he has remained at the highest level of the game for such a long time.”
