Dubai 7s is well established as one of the key stops on the HSBC SVNS Series and will be where rugby’s travelling band of world-class athletes begin their season on November 30th.
Played across three days, the tournament will be the first marker of where each team stands following the Summer Olympics.
For Olympic champions France, they will be without superstar Antoine Dupont, who has returned to the XV a side game following his brief sojourn into the sport. This omission will give the other nations plenty of hope with the likes of Ireland, Argentina, Fiji, South Africa, USA, New Zealand and Australia all gunning for top spot this year.
Of course, the SVNS Series ferocity on the pitch is more than matched by its party atmosphere off it and this will once again be the case in 2025.
Setting the standards sky high from the off, the Dubai organisers have confirmed that British rapper Stormzy will headline the tournament’s entertainment on Sunday December 1st.
Pretty cool for rugby to have a star as big as Stormzy headlining a sevens event
