Eddie Jones and his Wallabies have been copping quite the criticism of late.
Currently sitting zero from two following the opening rounds of this year’s Rugby Championship.
The Wallabies are staring down the very real possibility of a wooden spoon when they welcome the All Blacks to Melbourne tomorrow.
Whilst Jones is just two games into his second stint in charge of the national team, a clean sweep of losses in the Rugby Championship will only ratchet up the pressure.
Clearly leaning into the Australian public’s lack of confidence in the Wallabies. Rugby Australia have launched a hilarious advert poking fun at both themselves and the naysayers.
Set outside the front of a fan’s house, the advert shows a father sending his son to answer the doorbell.
Outside is none other than Eddie Jones, who enters into a dialogue with the son, who in turn is shouting out to his father.
Without ever realising it is Jones out front, the father goes on to downplay any chances the Wallabies may harbour heading into this year’s Rugby World Cup.
The advert is very cleverly done and clearly leans into Jones’s “us against the world” mindset heading into this weekend’s Bledisloe Cup match-up.
