England stalwarts Elliot Daly and Danny Care know what it takes to win a Six Nations having both won Rugby’s oldest international prize three times.
Coming into round two, England are looking to continue their unbeaten record alive, having squeaked past a resurgent Italian team in round one as they
Facing them will be an uber-confident Welsh team who rallied from 27 points down to come up just one point short against a fancied Scotland team in Cardiff.
In a Championship where fine margins are the order of the day, the experience of players like Daly and Care will be invaluable to Steve Borthwick’s squad.
Lifting up those around them with their know-how, the duo look set to be named once again this week in what would be Borthwick’s first time picking the same team in back-to-back fixtures since taking over from Eddie Jones last year.
Embodying this elevation of those around them was a lovely moment between Daly and Care.
Perhaps looking for a late-career positional switch to the secondrow, Care looks to Daly for a helping hand with a jump.
In the end Care was clearly just looking to get some chin-ups in to ensure his guns were on point for a post Six Nations trip to a sunny destination.
