With the new Gallagher premiership season just over a month away, players are back in their pre-season routines.
One of England’s particular hard men has found himself down his local MMA gym, getting himself fighting fit for the season ahead.
Having again been one of England’s top players in this summer’s tour to Australia, Ellis Genge hasn’t really had much of a chance to sit back and relax. The 121kg (19,1 stone) prop has been getting on with some pad work alongside former professional MMA fighter, Paul Reed.

In the past Genge has had his fair share of critics to deal with, with many fans taking a dislike to his attitude and often branding him a ‘bully’. Despite this, the outspoken Genge has gone from strength to strength and has even taken on leadership roles for both club and country.
Having led his team Leicester to premiership glory this past season, Genge has decided to move back to his home city of Bristol and re-sign for the Bears for the 22/23 season.
