La Rochelle scored an unbelievable team try against Pau in the French Top 14 on Saturday.
The move started with La Rochelle under heavy pressure inside their own 22-metre line, but winger Vincent Rattez showed superb footwork to break the first tackle and then skin Pau flanker Pierrick Gunther.
Rattez then made a break down the left hand touchline before passing infield to a teammate. After one quick ruck the ball was shipped wide and centre Levani Botia ran in the try from 30 metres out with Pau’s defenders nowhere to be seen.
The ball changed hands 10 times in the build up to this try in the second half, which was the pick of 10 scored by the hosts in a totally dominant performance.
The game finished 71-21 to La Rochelle at Stade Marcel Deflandre, leaving them seventh after 22 games.
