Many of you will have fond memories of the old-school rugby shirts, often accompanied by a trip down to your local cotton traders to find the colours of your favourite team.
There is something particularly nostalgic about the loose-fitting cotton jerseys that rugby players donned in the amateur era. Although perhaps not as efficient as modern-day shirts, these were instantly recognisable as a rugby shirt. From the large collar, down to the simple designs, these shirts will be forever iconic.
Well, digging straight down to their roots, Munster has stepped well and truly back in time with their ‘new’ supporters top. Using their original badge which derives from the historic coat of arms of Munster, the Irish side has combined with Adidas to create a shirt that one fan asked to “hook straight into my veins”.
