Jasmine Joyce scored a phenomenal solo try in Bristol Bears’ thumping 62-7 victory over Leicester Tigers in Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR).
The ball was kicked by a Leicester player to try and unlock Bristol’s defence. Joyce read it well, tracked back and the ball bounced up into her hands.
She turned, almost on her own tryline, and started sprinting. Joyce fended one player and none of the other Leicester defenders could get back to stop her from scoring.
A superb solo score and one that should be nominated for PWR try of the season

Joyce’s try was the second Bristol scored. The west country club also saw winger Millie David score four tries in the match, she is the league’s top try scorer this season so far.
Jenny Hesketh, Alisha Butchers, Lana Skeldon and Ella Lovibond also added to the scoreboard.
Bristol’s head coach Dave Ward said post-match: “Yeah, really happy. I suppose the most pleasing aspect was the defensive bit at the end.
“I think we really got into it. To keep a good Leicester side to one try was fantastic. We scored some great tries ourselves which we can look back on and be pretty proud.”
And Bristol centre Emma Orr added: “The girls are pulling me through, I am still learning the ropes. It’s so good to be on the pitch with such great players.
“They are really taking me under their wing and I am absolutely loving playing in a Bears shirt.”
The win means Bristol are fifth after playing five games, they have already had a bye week, and are just four points outside of the all-important top four.
Leicester, meanwhile, are eighth after five games with just one point.
The PWR will return on the weekend of 23/24 November where Bristol will play Trailfinders and Leicester travel to Loughborough Lightning.
