Saracens scrum half Tom Whiteley demonstrated incredible improvisation to set up a wonderful try against Ospreys on Saturday.
The half back was tracking a loop pass from a set play in the opposition half when he was forced to volley the ball across the pitch to his teammate.
Whiteley’s clever volley found full back Elliot Daly on the right wing who was then able to set up winger Rotimi Segun for his first try of the game, which finished 44-3 to Saracens at Allianz Park.
Commentator Austin Healey praised the skill displayed by Whiteley and Saracens have now won one of their opening two games in the Champions Cup.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate this volleyed assist from Tom Whiteley!? 😮
