France confirmed their place in the World Rugby U20 Championship semi-finals with a dominant display as they defeated Wales 43 – 19.
Having cruised their pool by brushing aside New Zealand and Japan, today’s fixture against Wales was further evidence that Les Bleus are the team to beat once again this year.
Physically bigger than just about every other side bar possibly England and Ireland, Les Bleus at times looked like men against boys during the pool stages.
Whilst brutal physicality is the backbone of the French game, the traditional French flair remains a big part of their game.
This was never more evident than in today’s fixture as they scored a try that left fans breathless.
Going through six quick offloads, the French exposed the Welsh defence to finish off what is surely a contender for try of the tournament.
This. Is. Special.
