Racing 92 confirm the signatures of three of international rugby’s top young prospects

French Top 14 powerhouse Racing 92 have reportedly signed highly touted prospects Tom Zukisani, Alex Mattioli and Simeli Tuiteci ahead of next season.

19-year-old South African Zukisani is a highly touted backrow who initially played for Grey High School in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) before moving to Glenwood High School in Durban.

At 5’11” and 95kg, Zukisani is powerful ball carrier and strong breakdown operator who has previously featured for the SA U18 team.

Previously sharing a post on social media alongside future Racing 92 teammate Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Zukisani has all the makings of star in the European leagues.

Former Italy U20 representative Mattioli is a 6’6” backrow who joins the Paris side from Italian club Colorno and is currently in South Africa with Italian U20 squad.

Equally adept in the secondrow, Mattioli will offer new Racing coach Stuart Lancaster a versatile utility forward option.

Finally 18-year-old Tuiteci is a powerhouse utility back in a similar mould to Fijian Rupeni Caucaunibuca and was a dominant force for Natabua High School.
