The end to the first half of Friday’s Mitre 10 Cup match between Wellington and Southland didn’t quite go to plan, as the ball was commically kicked directly into the face of young Peter Umaga-Jensen, by none other than his own teammate, Malo Tuitama.
The referee actually ruled a knock-on, perhaps just keen on getting a sip of water after a fast paced first half that included a number of quality tries.
