Northampton Saints defeated Bath in a thrilling Gallagher Premiership match this afternoon at Cinch Stadium.
Just a minute into the game, some quick thinking and a lovely assist from Rory Hutchinson for Northampton Saints allowed Josh Kemeny to score for the home side. The crowd erupted and so did his teammates.

An exhilarating run that started from full-back George Hendy, followed by Rory Hutchinson offloading the ball beautifully to forward Josh Kemeny, allowed him to score in the corner.
Northampton Saints continued to shine and scored their try bonus point within the first 40 minutes of the game.
On 55 minutes however, Bath scored theirs making the score 29-26 to the home side. The next twenty minutes were set to be crucial for both teams. Who would come out on top?
Somehow after being 19-0 at one point to last years Gallagher Premiership Champions, Bath then took the lead on 63 minutes through Joe Cokanasiga taking the score to 31-29 after being 14 points down at half-time. Three minutes later, the Saints had the opportunity to take the lead with a Fin Smith penalty. But he missed! The drama continued on 71 minutes. Saints were awarded another penalty due to a high tackle from Sam Underhill on try scorer Rory Hutchinson.
Saints continued to dominate and won the game on the 80th minute through Fin Smith. It was one hell of a game for a neutral. Northampton fans will be delighted as they stay alive and are still in the fight to make it into the top 4.
One Northampton Saints fan we spoke to in particular described the win as “fantastic. It was a very exciting moment for the club. Our semi-final hopes are still alive. To come away with a win after a very tense and nail biting last ten minutes makes it a very good result”.
