Pitch invaders can come in various different sizes, shapes, and athletic abilities. When a pitch invader does take to the field they’re generally met with either jeers or cheers depending on the effect it has on the game being played.
For example, the recent ‘oil’ protest at Twickenham during the Premiership final was met with serious anger and frustration from fans and players alike, with even Tom Curry carrying the offending protester off the field.

Built like a rugby player, this invader took to the field shaking hands with the players and even taking part in a little celebration with the winger, before heading off to sit down the security team.
Fans on Instagram commented on the lighthearted nature of the event, with Drew Sagedy telling the security to “get lower“, and @mpyamfam saying “that non-violent push at the end by the gate was cute”.
