The Irish Rugby squad have arrived in Portugal for their Guinness Six Nations training camp ahead of next Friday’s opening-round clash with France in Marseille.
Enjoying the warmer climate in the middle of the European winter, the Irish took to the beach for some training and recovery work.
For the reigning Grand Slam champions, Portugal has been their destination of choice in the build-up to major tournaments as they spent a portion of their 2023 Rugby World Cup build-up there.
The Irish rugby media captured some great footage, including a golden moment between new captain Peter O’Mahony and tighthead prop Finlay Bealham.
The duo emerged from the beach with towels in hand, looking like a scene straight out of Bay Watch.
Clearly, in the midst of a conversation, Bealham clocked the cameras, capturing their walking off the beach and shooting his shot with his new captain.
Reaching to grab O’Mahony’s hand, Bealham caught his captain off guard. The Munster great took a moment to realise what was happening before quickly shutting down his teammate’s antics.
