The 24-year-old is now the leading try-scorer in Super Rugby with 10 ‘meat pies’. This is more than Rieko Ioane, Wes Goosen and even Sevu Reece.
All three of his tries came from the back of rolling mauls following well executed lineout plays by the Canberra franchise as they edged out the Blues 26-21 at the GIO Stadium.
Fainga’a’s tries all demonstrate textbook control and patience to find the try line without being imposed once.
