Hawke’s Bay lock Geoffrey Cridge received a yellow card against Tasman on Saturday for a reckless high tackle.

The 24-year-old tackled a Tasman centre around the head as he attacked the far touchline, resulting in a penalty and a yellow card.
Cridge showed remorse for the tackle but given the current climate surrounding high tackles at the World Cup in Japan, the former All Blacks U20 forward can count himself lucky it wasn’t any worse for him.
The game ended 28-47 to the visitors, meaning Tasman finish round 10 top of the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership. Full match highlights are available below:
