YouTube superstar turned professional boxer Jake Paul never seems short of someone wanting to knock him out.
Now in the build-up to a much-anticipated bout with former UFC Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva, Paul has once again been called out.
Previously linked to a fight with former All Black Sonny-Bill Williams, Paul has caught fire from Williams good mate Quade Cooper.
Enjoying a career renaissance prior to an unfortunate injury whilst playing for the Wallabies, Cooper has tried his hand at boxing on a number of occasions.
A slippery operator on the pitch, Cooper appears to be equally elusive in the ring as he looks to collect a big payday in a bout with Paul.
In a Q&A on his Instagram story, Cooper brought up the fact that himself and Paul had very similar physical characteristics that would make a bout a realistic proposition.
“Surprisingly we are the same weight and height,” Cooper said before admitting that he would be outweighed in the star power category of a potential bout.
“He’s a huge, huge star and wouldn’t know who I was. The thing with those types of fights is that it’s about brand v brand because it’s about money.”
Turning the attention back to Sonny-Bill, Cooper said, “It wouldn’t make sense for him to fight anyone from here outside of Sonny-Bill Williams.”
Cooper then gave his prediction for how a potential SBW vs Jake Paul bout would play out.
“It wouldn’t be fair, SB would hurt him.”
The star flyhalf then got his first jab in saying “Interesting thought though, I’d beat him though incase you’re wondering.”
