Chiefs have defeated an underwhelming Moana Pasifika at Go Media Stadium today in round 12 of the Super Rugby Pacific season.
This weekend signalled the ‘culture round’ of Super Rugby Pacific rugby, with each stadium hosting a match providing a host of special activities for the fans to involve themselves in. The excited fans were treated to a DJ set from DJ Slade, as well as cultural performances and Cook Island drummers.

Cultural activities aside, the events on the field kept the fans entertained throughout with some brilliant attacking play – particularly from the visitors.
The Chiefs made their first mark after just 20 minutes thanks to a strong finish from Quinn Tupaea. From then on it was a simple matter of converting their chances as the visitors made light work of a side that would have been disappointed by their performance.
Strength and determination 💪

The try of the game came from fullback Etene Nanai-Seturo, as he collected his own chip to score a terrific breakaway try.

The match finished Moana Pasifika 7 – 43 Chiefs.
The victory for Chiefs is an important one as they challenge their countrymen at the top of the table, whilst Moana Pasifika will rue their performance today – especially considering other results could cause them to drop to the bottom of the table.
