Breaking the line in a tight game can seem like an impossible task at times. That’s why sometimes you need to do something that little bit special.
South Africa U20s found themselves 7-5 down against England U20s in their Six Nations opener on Friday. With the game so close the Springboks needed a way to break down the English defence. Scrum-half, Nico Steyn, pulled off an outrageous through-the-legs pass to put his teammate through the gap.
The game opened up from then, with the Springboks going on to win the game 30-22.
Contrary to the tournament name, there are 8 teams in the competition, split into 2 pools. The traditional 6 nations teams, plus Georgia and South Africa.
For Georgia, it is a fantastic opportunity to continue the growth of their national senior side. South Africa, being somewhat stuck in the middle of both hemispheres, are continuing the trend of their club sides joining European competitions.
