2022 Break-Through Player Of The Year Ange Capuozzo has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past twelve months.
The seven-time capped Italian Azzurri has gone from U20 promise to being a bonified test star at a rate unmatched by many in the game.
Plying his trade with French Top14 giants, Capuozzo has the luxury of training with World Class talents such as Antoine Dupont, Romain Ntamack and Thomas Ramos day in and day out.
This exposure has certainly helped the fullback-cum-winger take his game to the next level and looks set to be a major factor in Italy’s renaissance of late.
Not since the great Diego Dominguez, have the Azzurri had a truly world-class backline talent capable of breaking into a Six Nations XV.
As Welsh fans found out to their detriment, Capuozzo is exactly that. A player who would quite frankly slot seamlessly into any Six Nations squad.
Now in the week of round one of the 2023 Guinness Six Nations, here is a reminder of just what the fullback will be bringing to the tournament.
Finishing off yet another lethal Toulouse attack, Capuozzo had it all still to do as the covering Montpellier defence swept across to close the space.
Going up and over the flying Italian completed what will surely be one of the finishes off the season.
