Italy has made history today as they secured a 13 – 13 draw with France in Lille.
The result is the first time that Italy have not lost to Les Bleus in France but it could have been so much more for the Azzurri.
Winning a penalty with the clock in the red, Italian flyhalf Paolo Garbisi lined up a kick from about 35m out.
Getting set to take the shot, Garbisi began his pre-kick routine only to see the ball fall off the tee! Making this moment even more perplexing was the fact that the teams were playing at an indoor stadium in Lille.

By the time Garbisi got the ball back on the tee there were only 6 seconds left for him to attempt the kick. Yet even still the 23-year-old came within an inch of slotting it as the ball bounced off the upright.
